.ON JULY 31ST pictures of a Russian Mi-8 transport helicopter, collapsed as well as burning, started spreading on social media. That by itself was not uncommon: Ukrainian powers have rejected credit ratings of choppers given that the Russian infiltration began. So much more unusual was the case in the Ukrainian press that this chopper had actually been downed by a little drone. A video recording launched by the country's armies a handful of days eventually seemed to give support to that insurance claim: the video (see listed below) shows a drone striking another Russian airplane, this time an Mi-28 attack helicopter, apparently forcing it to create an emergency landing.
